A$AP Ferg – Flip Phone Shorty: Strictly for Da Streetz Vol. 1 Is a Mess

A$AP Ferg’s newest release, Flip Phone Shorty – Strictly for Da Streetz Vol. 1, is painfully underwhelming. From start to finish, the album feels like a never-ending loop of dull beats and uninspired rapping. There’s no story, no creativity, just Ferg endlessly spitting the same corny bars in corny voices, over and over again.

Each track is more of the same. Nothing grabs you. Nothing surprises you. It’s the kind of album that makes you wonder if Ferg even cared about making music this time around. Lyrically, it’s one of the most boring projects of the year, lacking depth, cleverness, or any sense of evolution from his previous work.

The low point has to be “Uptown Baby,” a song so atrocious it’s hard to believe it actually made the final cut. From its clunky production to the lazy bars, it’s arguably one of the worst songs ever written and produced in recent memory. If this is supposed to be a street‑hustle anthem, it fails on every level.

In short, Flip Phone Shorty is a disappointment. It’s repetitive, uninspired, and showcases one of the worst outputs from A$AP Ferg in years. Fans hoping for a fire street‑rap project will be sorely let down — this album is as dull as they come.
